Why use a pet minder?

Some of the key benefits of using a pet minder include:

  • Peace of mind
  • Security
  • Convenience
  • Happier less stressed pets
  • Healthy plants and garden
  • Professional service and care

Until recently the options for care of our pets while we are away or at work have been limited. More often than not family, friends and neighbours are relied upon to look after them in our absence, or in the case of cats and dogs; we are forced to place them in kennels and catteries. This is often inconvenient for those we ask as well as ourselves. In addition to this, on our return home we arrive to find that our pets may not have been treated with the degree of care that we expected, or the cat and dog have come home from the kennels with cat flu or kennel cough. Even worse in the case of fish, birds and other small pets they may be highly stressed, have become seriously ill or have died through neglect or lack of knowledge in their care.

Using a Pet Minder alleviates these issues. Pet Minders are professional animal care workers with many years experience working with animals. Pet Minders care for your pets in the comfort of their familiar environment. This removes the stress of having to travel to a boarding establishment and the time restraints of drop-off and pick-up times. Using a Pet Minder means you can leave and arrive home at the time of your choosing. Pet Minders not only care for your pets but will collect the mail, water the plants, perform a general security check and make your house appear lived in while you are away.

Pet Minders will also exercise, play and interact with your pets.

When you hire a Pet Minder you have the peace of mind that they are contracted by you to care for your pets and perform the tasks agreed upon in your initial meeting, it is a written agreement and therefore legally binding. The minder has a legal and ethical obligation to honour that contract; it is in their professional interest to do so.

More and more people are making the decision to use a professional pet minding service finding it to be a much better alternative for the care of their pets while they are away.
