SERVICES
- Pet Minding: Zootopia offers general pet minding of all species. A 30 minute pet minding service* can include but is not limited to - feeding & watering, cleaning of all food & water dishes, yard pooper-scoop, litter change for cats, enclosure cleaning, daily general health inspection, interaction, play, petting & coat brushing, medication administration & bedding check/change. The service also includes - mail collection, plant watering, bins in/out on garbage day, opening & closing of blinds, turning lights on at night & general security check. This service is available from 1 to 3 times a day.
- 20 minute dog walks can be added to any service for $5 each.
*Extra time can be booked for tasks that cannot be fitted into the 30minute service time see pricing page for details.
- Special Needs Animals: Zootopia prides itself on being able to provide expert care for special needs animals including aging pets, pets requiring continual daily medication such as for pancreatitis, arthritis, hyperthyroidism, FUS etc, as well as being able to administer injections eg. for diabetics, antibiotics for horses etc. Daily care & 'checking in on' service for post-operative animals, while you are away or at work is also available. This type of service can include - wound care, assessment of discomfort/pain levels, bedding change, toilet breaks etc. We can also take your pet to the vet for re-visits which is charged at the pet taxi rates (see pricing page or call for details). The service is specifically tailored to the individual needs of each animal & a pre-service meeting will take place prior to service.
- Dog Walking: dog walks from 30minutes to 1hour are available. Zootopia will only walk dogs from the same property together not from separate clients properties. A maximum of 3 small-medium dogs or 2 large dogs per walk. A 20minute dog walk can also be added to any minding visit see pricing page for details.
*Note: While regular dog walks are typically around 30mins or more, it is important to note that weather conditions may dictate modifications on any given day. Walks will not be done in hazordous weather conditions, including but not limited to, thunderstorms/lightening & hail or extreme heat. The duration of walks may be shortened to prevent any discomfort or injury to pets, at the discretion of the walker. All dogs will have the opportunity to 'toilet'', but will never be forced to walk for lengthy periods in any conditions that cause them to suffer needlessly, or be unnecessarily stressed or fearful.
- Midday Puppy/Kitten Visits: Puppies & kittens between 8-12wks of age require at least 3 feeds a day, this can be problematic when you are working during the day. Young animals are also full of energy, get lonely & can develop destructive behaviours when left alone for long periods. Zootopia will come to your home while you are at work to feed & play with your puppy or kitten as well as clean up any messes.
- Regular Daily Minding/Interaction Visits: Available when you are working long hours or have commitments for long periods during the week & have limited time to spend with your pets. I will come to your home during the day usually between (12:00pm-3:00pm) to spend time with your pets, play & interact with them, let them out for toilet breaks if indoors, top up water bowls & clean any messes as needed.
- Farm & Hobby Farm Minding: Available for larger properties with lots of animals & livestock, charged at an hourly rate.
- Enclosure Cleaning: Zootopia offers an enclosure cleaning service for the busy pet owner struggling to keep up with enclosure maintenance.
- Nail clipping: many dogs hate having their nails cut & it can be almost impossible to do by yourself, in this instance, I will come and assist you with your un co-operative canine or do it for you (for co-operative animals).
- Medication administration: available as a seperate service if required.
- Pet Taxi: available to take your pet to vets, groomers, boarding facilities etc. & bring them home after their visit/stay. Arrangements can be made for Zootopia to stay with your pet during their consultation at vets or groomers, you must advise your vet if you are planning to use a Zootopia representative on your behalf. No treatment decisions will be made without consultation with the client or without signed written consent from the client.
- Open for inspection dog pick-up: available for when you are selling your home & having viewings from perspective buyers. I will come & pick-up your rumbuctious hounds & take them for an outing to the park or other favourite outing spot for the time of the inspection.
- Horse Rugging: available with a pet minding service or as a stand alone service.
- Egg collection: *free as part of a pet minding service for poultry owners. *Small scale personal use flocks only max 30 birds. Larger scale operations see farm service for details of minding your property.
- Incubator monitoring: free as part of a pet minding service for small scale reptile & bird keeping enthusiasts.
- General pet care advice: this is a free service available for all your pet care questions.
- Lock Out Service: available for clients who choose to keep copies of their keys with us, handy for those times you accidentally lock yourself out of the house or lose the keys. See pricing page for details & FAQ for how your keys will be handled.
